As movement restrictions disrupted traditional employment channels, many individuals found themselves without access to opportunities, while employers struggled to identify suitable candidates through conventional means.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"671\" data-end=\"1000\">In response to this gap, Rahman Imuda and his team developed <strong data-start=\"732\" data-end=\"752\">berikerja.com.my<\/strong>, a digital platform designed to simplify and accelerate the job matching process during a critical period. The initiative was not conceived as a long-term commercial product, but as a rapid intervention aimed at addressing an urgent national need.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1002\" data-end=\"1338\">At its core, the platform allowed job seekers to upload their CVs directly, removing many of the barriers typically associated with job applications. In a time where businesses were operating under constraints and uncertainty, speed and efficiency became critical factors in hiring decisions. Berikerja aimed to respond to this by reducing friction in the recruitment process.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2019\" data-end=\"2420\">Beyond the technical platform, the initiative reflected an understanding of the broader social context of the pandemic. Job loss during this period was not just an economic issue, but also one that affected confidence, stability, and mental well-being. In many ways, the strength of Berikerja lay in its ability to respond quickly rather than waiting for a fully developed system.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3635\" data-end=\"3871\">It also demonstrated the importance of initiative at the grassroots level.
